It proved to be the busiest Thursday since Fieldays launched in 1969.
General Manager Barry Quayle said the numbers were evidence that the industry is looking forward.
“Our exhibitors are reaping the rewards of this optimism.”
The 2011 New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays is on now until Saturday at Mystery Creek Events Centre, 10 minutes south of Hamilton.
The Premier Feature for the next National Fieldays was unveiled to set the stage for 2012.
The theme ‘Changing face of farming’ will address the changing land ownership model in New Zealand and aims to provide a platform for discussion.
