Slash, slash, rip, rip is basically the concept behind Prototype 2, the sequel to the best selling Prototype.
This version takes place 14 months after the original with most of New York locked into quarantine zones and overrun by a virus which either kills its human host or turns them into bloody thirsty mutants.
It’s very much more of the same and while it offers little to fans of the original it’s still a lot of fun – even if experienced gamers find it quickly becomes repetitive.
There are some unintentionally humorous moments, mainly due to a poor targeting system, and innocent bystanders can easily become collateral damage.
