Manatee party set to blow at NZ Music Month

Manatee party co-founder William Munro is promising techno music fans a night to remember

Some of the North Island’s best underground DJs will descend upon Hamilton this weekend to celebrate New Zealand Music Month.

Hamilton’s Flow bar is set to rumble on Saturday night, with New Zealand Music Month: Manatee Edition, starring local and national DJ sets.

Co-founder of the Manatee parties William Munro is excited about the event and has been heavily promoting it via Facebook.

“We have a range of DJs playing who will be bringing you the freshest bass-heavy music there is. Get ready for a crazy Saturday at Flow Bar,” Munro said.

Mainly techno music, the DJ sets include the ‘King of Whangerei’ Jono Peters playing his unique style of heavy-electronic music that will have the walls bouncing with bass.

“Expect a dark, bass-heavy set to blow your face off, as this will be a night to remember,” Munro said.

Munro, stage-name Williapede, has risen in prestige over the last couple years for his energy and heavy-bass lines.

Other DJs include Greg Stack, Staylo, Brothers Grimm, Piece and Euphoricmilk – many of whom played in the dance festival Summer Vines earlier in this month, as well as the ever popular SoundScape.

Doors open at 10pm and finishes at 3am, tickets $5 on the door.
