Fine weather a bonus

For the Gallagher team opening day of the National Fieldays started at 7am on site so we were pleased to see a crisp, clear Waikato morning and I’d say so were the thousands of visitors who attended day one at Mystery Creek.

For the Gallagher team opening day of the National Fieldays started at 7am on site so we were pleased to see a crisp, clear Waikato morning and I’d say so were the thousands of visitors who attended day one at Mystery Creek.

Fine weather is definitely a bonus during Fieldays but the facilities at Mystery Creek have improved so much over the years it’s rare to see a muddy pair of red-bands around now.  You could say that’s one feature of the changing face of farming along with the new technology and solutions on show which are all designed to make farming more efficient and more profitable.
Today is also an opportunity for Gallagher to say thanks to the R&D team who have spent months developing our new energizers, EID and Weighing technology.  We rarely get the opportunity to publicly thank the team who spend hours researching and developing our products so we’re keen to make sure we acknowledge their contribution to the changing face of farming.  The product designers, developers, engineers and creators of the iSeries energizers will join us to see how our sales team deliver the features of this new product to the customer.
A key benefit of being an internationally recognised brand is the opportunity to host dignitaries, international guests and media at our site to share Gallagher’s new technology with them.  Today’s  schedule also includes a visit from the Minister of Science and Innovation, Honourable Steven Joyce, followed by Viviane Taguchi of Globo Rural magazine, one of the most important agribusiness publications in Brazil and Mr Sunil Rana, Deputy News Editor for Dainik Jagran, an influential Hindi newspaper.  The two journalists are guests of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and have a broad interest in agritechnology so they’ll meet other innovative companies including Assure Quality, Zee Tags, Milfos and Simcro, then spend time at Innovation Waikato and AgResearch.
The end of each Gallagher day means a briefing session for all staff on site to run through the days achievements, share feedback and take a deep breath before we start all over again in the Waikato.
