Sex toys for cows

A Technipharm sign saying “sex toys for cows here” is attracting the attention of Fieldays visitors.

Technipharm salesperson, Olivia Boos said the sign is a bit of a laugh and points out that it also says “just kidding”.

“My step dad [Harmen Heesen] is actually the directing manager of Technipharm, he has a bit of fun with that sort of stuff [advertisements]”.

Boos said that advertisement relates to a cow pacifier product that the agricultural equipment company sells.

“You stick it [the pacifier] in the cow’s rectum and it sends impulses to their nerves and it calms them down, stops them from kicking,” she said.

52-year-old Eric says he saw the sign and it definitely caught his attention.

“There is some very clever marketing people out there who know how to hook you.

“The wackier and crazier it is, the more people are going to wonder what it is,” he said.

Boos said a lot of teenage girls have been taking photos of the sign.

“Everyone points and has a good old laugh [at the sign].”

She said the product has been quite popular and invites Fieldays visitors to come and see it.
