Napier fitness coach writes books on happiness
A Napier fitness coach is in the middle of a new venture – as an author.
A Napier man is out to change lives with the same mentality he uses to train world-class fighters.
Jerry Sargeant, owner of Fierce Fitness, believes the characteristics that create champions in the ring contribute to success in all areas of life.
“It doesn’t matter what you are trying to achieve,” says Sargeant. “You need to have the same basic qualities such as faith, belief, and perseverance.”
Sargeant released the first of a trilogy of self-help books in March of this year. Titled “The Magnet and the Genie: Getting Rich”, it contains Sargeant’s guide to achieving financial freedom.
“I believe that everyone in life is searching for happiness, and that what brings people happiness is freedom.
“When one has money, it releases many of life’s burdens, and life becomes easier.
“Our mind is the most powerful tool that we possess and, if used correctly, it can have a huge positive influence on our lives. Alternatively, if used negatively, it will have a destructive influence on our lives.”
Alongside experience in the tough world of combat sports, Sargeant credits his wealth of life experiences with allowing him to create a life for himself and his family.
“I have had some major successes and been down in the gutter several times over. I have been from owning multi-million dollar companies to losing it all and more.”
The second and third instalments of The Magnet and The Genie will cover achieving health and love.
Release is set for spring this year.
