In an alternative approach, Waikato Independent reporters are tackling the Hamilton council elections from the bottom up. We are fanning out across the city to talk to voters about their neighbourhood concerns. Our reporters will then take these concerns to candidates in the coming weeks.
In an alternative approach, Waikato Independent reporters are tackling the council elections from the bottom up. We think voters should not only be heard, but should also play a role in setting the agenda. Our reporters have fanned out across the city to interview voters about the everyday issues that irritate, concern, and worry them. Our reporters will then take these concerns to candidates. As well, we’ll be co-hosting the Waikato Times mayoral forum in Wintec’s Atrium on September 10.
