A contemporary shadow dance interpretation of the Papua New Guinean legend Ale and Ole will be performed live at Wintec.

The performance of Ale and Ole was put together by Into the Shadows, a second-year student group in the Bachelor of Media Arts programme. The performance will feature four dancers from a range of different dance backgrounds.

The exhibition shall take place as part of the Bachelor of Media arts second year Audience Message Context (AMC) class. Groups of students were told to come up with a group exhibition idea, incorporating the concept of convergence culture.

Come along to be transported into another world, were shadows, dance, and magic exists. Immerse yourself in a story where good triumphs evil and a family is put to the test.

The free event will take place on  June 1 in Wintec’s moving image block on Collingwood St at 8pm. Space is limited, so don’t miss out and come early.
