Otorohanga’s Chris Lord just won gold at the world champs
Otorohanga’s Chris Lord has taken gold at the 2019 Stihl Timbersports Rookie World Championship in Sweden over the weekend.
Waikato Independent Chief Photographer Geoff Ridder was on site at last year’s Fieldays to capture Chris in action.
Chris Lord, commented: “I’m happy to be here and happy to win, it’s amazing.
“I knew Josh was going to be tough competition as always, he was the one to beat. I didn’t run my Stock Saw as well as I thought I would, but I had a ripper of a Standing Block Chop. I thought the Single Buck would be my downfall, but I ended up coming third in that and then finished it off with the Underhand Chop, which didn’t hold me up too much.”
