If you are keen to get in amongst the fun this Matariki season, Wintec’s Maori Achievement Project Co-Ordinator, Waimihi Hotere, is here to give you the rundown on some of the events planned over the course of this month. From celebrations next to the Toia Mai sculpture on the banks of the Waikato River to the Te Ruru light festival in Garden Place and a limited series of screenings for the film Vai; there is no shortage of ways for you to connect with Matariki this year. Waimihi also talks about how this is the time of year to nurture and grow the light within ourselves.
