Fieldays tickets just around the corner
It’s time to save the date for the 2025 NZ National Fieldays®. The event is taking place 11-14 June at Mystery Creek with tickets on sale from early May.
Fieldays® is known for showcasing innovation and products for farming, rural living. It provides opportunities for visitors to the site to learn from some of the best primary industries suppliers in Aoteoroa, as well as connect with organisations, researchers and communities.
This year, organisers said there will be even more innovation, hands-on experiences and live demonstrations.
As well as new experiences, some familiar classics remain, including the Tractor Pull. The crowd favourite is celebrating 50 year since it was first held in 1975 and runs heats Wednesday to Friday with finals on Saturday 14 June.

Joining the celebrations is new lead sponsor, agricultural machinery transportation company PTS Logistics. Fieldays organisers said PTS would be working alongside sponsors Corson Maize and Giltrap AgriZone, and the Central Tractor Pull Club, and will play a key role in supporting Fieldays Tractor Pull by making the transportation of tractors to the event more feasible.
The 100% Kiwi-owned and operated company is led by owner Scott Miers, and has 18 depots across New Zealand with a fleet of 400 trucks and 500 trailers which opens up opportunities, particularly for entrants further away who may have faced transport challenges in getting their vehicles to the event.

It also paves the way for more Modified Tractors to join the competition, including larger varieties. The Modified Tractors category caters to those with non-standard machines, including pre-1985 models and custom-built vehicles.
Miers said “PTS are thrilled to support the Tractor Pull. We are always keen to celebrate agriculture and machinery which has been our bread and butter for many years. We are looking forward to fostering strong connections with the competitors by providing safe and responsible transport.”
Marie Rechner, venue operations manager at the New Zealand National Fieldays Society, and a co-organiser of the competition said “the sponsorship is invaluable, offering new transport options for entrants and providing the resources needed to help make this milestone event a memorable celebration.”
Fieldays® Tractor Pull has a range of competitions including Weight Transfer Class with a range of weight categories, Modifieds, Pre-85, Weight Adjusted and People’s Choice. In 2024 the overall winners were Michael Austin (Weight Adjusted), Kevin Mounsey (Pre-85), Wally Sinton (Modifieds), Shawn Luxton (Weight Transfer) with Jack Drent taking out the People’s Choice Award.
