Brothers work hard at Fieldays

Some of the hardest working boys at Fieldays are also some of the smallest. Fifteen year-old brothers Lochain and Hamish Gordon have been busy helping out the family landscaping business, driving their mini “tonka” truck and helping set up stalls.
The pair do numerous jobs for the company, which specializes in site landscaping, from laying out bark to putting signs up, and are enjoying the Fieldays experience.
“We do most of the sites around…we’re just helping set up,” says Hamish.
Showscape Hire Site Design, owned by the boys’ father Scott Gordon, organises up to 400 exhibitor sites at the Fieldays event every year. Scott says his boys are good workers and enjoy helping out at the event.
Lochain and Hamish say their main goal for the week is to have one of the stalls they’ve put together win the Top Stand Award, though they’d be especially happy if their own came first.
“We’re not really sure what you win,” admits Lochain, but the pair say having their work recognized would make them proud.
