Fieldays may kick off today, but for some Hamilton hospitality outlets, the rush started on Monday.
Iguana Streetbar and Restaurant general manager Warren Larsen says Fieldays is great for the hospitality industry.
“Fieldays is fantastic for Hamilton. It’s a premium crowd and they are out there to impress.”
He said Iguana has already had a bit of a rush, but the best is yet to come.
“With it only being Tuesday, obviously last night was a lot busier and our bookings are looking strong and steady for the rest of the week.
“Our biggest sellers are bottles of red wine and steaks.”
Domaine restaurant manager Derek Callister said they are expecting the same.
“The meatier dishes, things like your eye fillet and beef stack will appeal to the Fieldays clientele.”
He said Domaine is expecting large groups through the week ranging from 10 people to 40.
“Hopefully we will see a huge increase in business, lots of corporate groups.”
If you are planning on heading out for dinner this week, get in quick and book a table so you can be enjoying one of those delicious sounding steak dishes.
