The game has three levels in which the player directs the Waikato University graduation mascot, Mū, around a paddock by tilting the iPad.

The aim is for Mū to eat as much grass as possible to produce milk solids, stay away from thistle and ragwort and not hit the electric fences.

The more milk solids, the better your score.

University of Waikato Bachelor of E-Commerce student Brian Cole said he has no idea how popular the game will be.

Brian is the director of Cold Studios, which created the game.

“It is kind of an interesting thing for us because we are just putting it out there and we don’t really know how it is going to be received.”

The game was finished in 88 days.

“It’s specifically been designed so that people can come up, get a quick taste of what people at Waikato are doing, but not have to linger there for too long.”

Cold Studios employs three programmers and two graphic designers.

Currently the dairy farming game is just for iPad and is not available in app store.

The only place you can play it is at the stand, when you play you get a code and can enter the draw to win an iPad.
