And it’s gone to the girl in the red dress…

It’s the edge of the seat final episode, and our reviewer’s heart beats furiously as she declares who she’s backing.

Who gets heartbroken? Who gets the sparkly ring?

It’s the final episode and I spend my whole day at work waiting for this, I am officially at the point where I am more invested in Zac’s love life than my own.

Zac’s mum thinks Lily will be too young, it turns out they’ve been watching the show. She turns up in a white dress, low key hinting to Zac’s family her bride material.

They share some rugby banter, and then Zac’s mum pulls her away to ask if she wants children and when.

“Five years could be a grandchild,” she says, I wonder why she wanted Zac on the show.

Zac’s sister comes in to grill Lily – turns out they’re birds of a feather. This is going to be tough for Viarni.

She turns up, supposedly on a different day. But Zac’s wearing the same shirt and pants…

Zac’s mum’s facials are great. Viarni says she doesn’t want kids just yet, maybe one day.

Zac’s mum doesn’t look impressed, she drinks her tea quickly with wide eyes when Viarni says she has lots of time…

I hope he picks Viarni because I just tweeted #TeamViarni and it got three likes which is the most I’ve ever got and I don’t want to look like a loser.

Brearna admits Viarni was the family favourite from early on, but things might have changed…

Oh God, I’m so nervous.

Zac and Viarni go on a date, which involves passionate making out in the car

They walk up a mountain. It’s drenched in fog for a moody atmosphere.

They are snuggled up on a coach in front of a fire, a reel of their best moments is showing, and I am getting emotional.

Can we just fast forward to the end? I can’t deal with this much anticipation.

It’s time for Lily’s date. Zac starts going on about how his niece sat on Lily’s knee and how big it was to him and oh, he’s going to pick Lily isn’t he?

But then, he talks about how he knows that Lily will always go her own way and how he could get hurt by her.

Now there is a slideshow of Lily and Zac’s cute moments. Zac is a stronger man than me – I’m already a mess.

He picks the ring with his sister, my favourite was the three diamond ring (in case my boyfriend reads this) but he picks the one with a pink stone.

My heart is beating  so fast right now as Zac stares longingly across an average river.

He wears a blue suit, but the hankie in it has red on it. Viarni is wearing a red dress. It must be a sign.

“I feel like there’s some large objects obstructing my stomach and my throat,” says Lily. Me too.

This is taking too long. I don’t care about the car ride.

Lily is first. He smiles. He stops smiling. He’s filled with dread. He wants to set the butterfly free. She sounds like she is going to cry but she doesn’t.

My heart breaks a little for her, she says she feels empty.

Viarni rolls up, and my heart fills with hope.

Zac looks terrified, he takes deep breaths, and it is a bit awkward.

“From the first night I saw you, I felt a spark.

“The more time we spend together the more of my heart you have.

“I hope you feel the same way.”*

Viarni says she can’t even deal, but I can because I predicted it from the beginning and am filled with the warm fuzzies.

The girl in the red dress won Zac’s heart and, in Viarni’s own words: “Oh my god.”
