![A cyclist was taken to hospital after being hit by a car while crossing Galloway Street this afternoon. “Basically, a cyclist crossing the road was hit by a vehicle coming down the road,” Police****SPAY57 (how do QIDs work?)**** said. Police, ambulances, and local civilians joined forces to cordon off a portion of the road around the cyclist and her bicycle. SPAY57 said, “I'm not too sure what the reason [for the accident] is – we have yet to speak to them properly.” Onlooker Kevin Wikitera said, “She was coming down the street, and tried to cut through traffic. Then the car came down the centre, I think, and hit her. The driver of the vehicle “wasn't going that fast”, said Wikitera. “He didn't see her, she didn't see him ...
