Fonterra asks Fieldays visitors to compare milk from a lightproof bottle and a regular bottle and taste the difference for themselves.

“There is definitely a difference. I can’t quite decide yet which one I prefer,” said milk taster and Wintec journalism student Melissa Wishart.
“That being said, the lightproof one is supposed to be better for you.”
Stephen Reynolds of the Fonterra milk marketing team said the company is fine about the criticism they have had about the lightproof bottles.
“What it allows us to do is have a conversation with consumers and get real feedback,” said Reynolds.
Naomi Johnston, tried both types of milk and said she now believes it is not just mind over matter.
“I could taste a tinge of difference between,” said Johnston.
